Job Title: Permanent Hematology/Oncology Provider Job Specialty: Hematology Oncology Job Duration: Permanent Shift: Days Monday-Friday with on-call and weekends (1:4) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology or Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Hematology/Oncology License: Iowa license or IMLC (or willing to obtain) Certifications: BLS, DEA (or willing to obtain), CDS (or willing to obtain) Must-Have: Board Certification or Eligibility in specified fields, willingness to obtain necessary licenses and certifications Job Description: - Primarily outpatient practice with minimal inpatient responsibilities - Works Monday-Friday with 8-9 hour shifts, handling adult and geriatric patients - Balanced workload of 50% Hematology and 50% Oncology - Collaborate with 2 Radiation Oncologists and 4 Advanced Practice Providers - Manage 12-16 patients per day - Required procedures include management of VAD/CV Catheters and Intrathecal chemotherapy - Participate in Tumor Board activities, order tests and images, and prescribe treatments - Chemo administered by nursing staff based on physician orders - Promotes excellent work-life balance with minimal call requirements and options for at-home calls - Post-call day off and one holiday on-call per year - Opportunities for teaching CRNA students - Work in a cancer center with a recent renovation and collaboration with multiple specialists - Access to comprehensive support staff including dietitian, physical therapist, pharmacy, and more - Weekly tumor boards featuring specialists such as Pathology, Radiology, and Surgery - Electronic Medical Records system: Mosaiq - Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates Compensation and benefits details are available upon application.
