We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Tennessee. This 20-day assignment spans from May 29 to June 8 and June 28 to July 6, 2025, with 24-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am. The ideal candidate will be comfortable covering a level 2 nursery and providing 24-hour on-call coverage. Responsibilities include daily rounding on 2-3 patients. This role also uses the Medhost EMR system, with potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Cover level 2 nursery

Provide 24-hour on-call coverage

Perform daily rounds on 2-3 patients

Diagnose and treat pediatric inpatients

Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals

Communicate effectively with patients' families

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Medhost system

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines

Collaborate with nursing staff and other physicians

Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed

Participate in any necessary staff meetings or case conferences


Additional Information:

Tennessee medical license required

Board certification in Pediatrics required

Experience in pediatric hospital medicine essential

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable with 24-hour shifts and on-call responsibilities
