Barton Associates is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens position in North Carolina. This 60-day assignment begins on 09/08/2025, with potential for extension. The provider will work 24-hour coverage shifts, with dates assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The pediatric hospitalist will be responsible for a wide range of duties including nursery rounds, inpatient calls and rounds, ER calls, new admissions and discharges, and performing circumcisions. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct nursery rounds
Manage inpatient calls and rounds
Respond to ER calls for pediatric patients
Handle new admissions and discharges
Perform circumcisions
Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized pediatric patients
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
Ensure timely and appropriate patient care and follow-up
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric care practices
Additional Information:
North Carolina state medical license required
