We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Georgia. This 15-day assignment is split between two periods: July 25-August 1 and August 22-29, 2025, with 24-hour call coverage from 7 AM to 7 AM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a full range of general GI cases, including 1-2 ERCPs and EUS procedures daily, as well as handling inpatient rounds. The gastroenterologist will be responsible for treating various conditions such as abdominal pain, colitis, diarrhea, heartburn, liver disorders, pancreatic disease, constipation, GI bleeding, and indigestion. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, managing approximately 10 patients per day.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care for inpatients and outpatients
Perform 1-2 ERCPs and EUS procedures daily
Conduct daily hospital rounds
Manage a diverse range of GI conditions, including abdominal pain, colitis, diarrhea, heartburn, liver disorders, pancreatic disease, constipation, GI bleeding, and indigestion
Handle approximately 10 patients per day
Respond to emergency calls and consultations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required
Additional Information:
Must be licensed to practice medicine in Georgia
Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
Strong clinical skills in general gastroenterology and advanced endoscopic procedures
Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume patient load
Comfortable with 24-hour call coverage and daily hospital rounds
Possibility of assignment extension
