Family Medicine Residency program is seeking a family medicine physician who is passionate about teaching to join our vibrant group as core faculty. Institution provides group with an un-opposed residency teaching environment. It is our community-based regional referral medical center, with 700+ medical staff providers and an emergency department registering over 54,000 patient visits in 2024. We strive to provide excellent community-based, full-spectrum, patient care and comprehensive resident training in a supportive environment. Program is fully ACGME accredited and part of the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network. Our faculty receive University of Washington Clinical Faculty appointments. FM/OB core faculty, teaching, mentoring, advising and supervising residents/medical students Attend on Family Medicine Inpatient Service as scheduled OB faculty call as scheduled Provide comprehensive primary care for a personal panel of patients in a primary care clinic Participate in and coordinate regularly scheduled didactics and lead assigned curricular areas Be a role model in professionalism, self care, team-based community health care, lifelong learning, and full scope outpatient family medicine practice Serve on relevant residency program and hospital committees Participate in scholarly activity and quality initiatives Other duties as necessary to meet ACGME requirements Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits Faculty appointment with University of Washington Malpractice (Occurrence) Insurance Medical, Dental, Life, Disability Insurance Plans for physician, spouse and dependents CME Stipend Qualified deferred compensation plan retirement programs ALSO, PALS, NRP, ACLS certification is required and will be provided Area Highlights: Located in north central Idaho in Clearwater County, positioned 5 hour drive south of the Canadian border and 5 hours drive north of Boise, Idaho. It nestles along the beautiful Clearwater River in a protected river canyon. In 15-20 minutes, the geography changes as one drives up to the surrounding high prairies at 2-3,000 elevation. Beyond the prairies are forested mountains. While very small-town/rural, it is only 45 minutes from a population of 60,000 people in the Lewiston-Clarkston valley (at the Idaho/Washington state border). This gives easy access to a commercial airport, colleges, diversified shopping and city attractions. It is 1 hours from university towns of Moscow, ID (U of I) and Pullman, WA (WSU), with a combined population of 50,000.
