Position Overview

  • Support Staff: Includes 1 RN, 2 MAs, and 3 office staff members
  • Patient Volume: 8-10 patients per shift
  • Bed Count in Department: 5
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Certification Requirements: Must be board certified in pediatrics or endocrinology (fellowship preferred)
Schedule and Call Requirements
  • Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours with call responsibilities
  • Call Details: Beeper call with a 20-minute response time
  • Consult Requirements: Phone consultations as needed
  • Admissions and Call Back: Details to be confirmed
Clinical and Procedural Requirements

This role includes the opportunity to provide specialized care and perform a range of non-invasive procedures. Key skills and services:

  • Required Skills: Pediatrics ventilation management, acute and chronic care management, EKG interpretation, and x-ray interpretation
  • Optional/Preferred Skills: Newborn ventilation management, conscious and deep sedation, and advanced procedures like UVC, UAC, and lumbar punctures
Compensation and Benefits
  • Placement Fee: Competitive package with insurance coverage provided

  • Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 90-145 days
  • Holiday Coverage: Observes major holidays including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
Additional Information
  • Hospital Privileges: Required (no temporary privileges offered)
  • Supervision: Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (PAs/NPs) is required
  • Level of Care: Trauma Level II facility with outpatient pediatric focus
  • Certifications Required: BLS and PALS
