Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse adult and pediatric patient population in our state-of-the-art emergency department (ED).
- Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, CT scans, lab work), and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of emergency procedures, including suturing, wound care, casting, and other interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage patient flow within the ED, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring timely care delivery.
- Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted California (CA) medical license is mandatory.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine is mandatory.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical emergency medicine setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in emergency medicine.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.
