Description:
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Stroke and STEMI center
• 70k visits
• 12 shifts a day, shifts are 8 or 9 hours
• Shifts are6a-2p x2,8a-4p, 8a-5p,11a-7p,12P-8P,2p-10p x2,3p-11P,5p-1a, and10p-6a x2
• There are always two board certified ED physicianson 24/7
• Current group includes 18 board certified ED physician and 5 mid-levels
• Significant overlap of shifts
• Average1.5-1.8patients an hour
• No shortage of procedures (expected to be able to do all ER procedures)
• Anesthesia, Pedi Hospitalist, Hospitalist in house24/7
• Trauma surgery on call24/7, expected to be at bedside in 30 minutes for critical trauma
• Other on call specialties " Orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery
• Intensivist in house7a-7p, Hospitalist cover ICUfrom 7p-7abut Intensivist in on call
• ED does not respond to hospital airways or codes
• Also have a FAST track option that sees ESI 3-5
Compensation:
