Physician / Emergency Medicine

A facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. Beaumont, Texas has a lot to offer from arts and culture, outdoor activities, swamps and gators, birding, self-guided tours, and family-friendly attractions. The position offers 12-hour shifts with APC support in a Level III trauma center handling 51,700 annual visits (140150 PPD). Coverage includes 4858 hours of MD shifts and various PA/NP shift options. MDs work 5 a.m.5 p.m., 7 a.m.7 p.m., 5 p.m.5 a.m., and 7 p.m.7 a.m., with occasional 11 a.m.9 p.m. resident shifts. PA/NP shifts vary slightly between weekdays and weekends. Requirements include ABEM certification with ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. The ED has 31 beds, and the facility is seeking coverage for 40 shifts per month (4 FTEs).
