Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to inpatients.
- Manage a patient load of 15-18 patients per shift, focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology.
- Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and specialized cardiology teams, including EP and interventional cardiology, to deliver high-quality care.
- Coverage:
- Work Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with some night call duties.
- Cover 2-3 weekends over the assignment period (Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM).
- Engage in both direct patient care and consultative services as needed.
Practice Details:
- Support Staff:
- Supported by an experienced team including advanced practice clinicians, EP, and interventional cardiology.
- EMR System: Experience with Epic is preferred, but training will be provided if necessary.
- Board Certification: Must be board certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Cardiology.
- Licensure: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Washington medical license or qualify through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Cardiology is required.
- BLS, ACLS, and other certifications are not required for this position.
- Practice Setting:
- The role is exclusively inpatient with no outpatient duties required.
- No admissions are required, but hospital privileges must be obtained.
