We are seeking Board-Certified Cardiologists for an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Ovando, MT. This position offers a mix of outpatient and inpatient coverage and the chance to work in a scenic, serene region of Montana. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate personal and professional commitments.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: March 2025
- End Date: January 2026
- Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call.
- Setting:
- Outpatient clinic and inpatient rounds.
- Nuclear cardiology interpretations (preferred but not required).
- Supportive team including advanced practitioners and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general cardiology services, including:
- Patient consultations in an ambulatory clinic (Monday to Friday, 8 am5 pm).
- Rounding on hospitalized patients.
- Supervise and collaborate with a team of 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Participate in nuclear cardiology reads (if certified).
- Cover scheduled call assignments, typically requiring a 20-minute response time.
Assignment Schedule:
Specific dates include coverage during key holiday periods and high-demand times. Examples of priority dates:
- March 324, 2025 (spring break coverage).
- May 23June 2, 2025 (holiday coverage).
- July 1828, 2025 (high-demand summer coverage).
- December 19, 2025January 5, 2026 (holiday coverage).
Additional Information:
- Patient Volume: Approximately 912 patients per shift.
- EMR System: Epic.
- Licensure: Must be licensed in Montana or eligible via Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Certifications: ACLS required; Board Certification in Cardiology required.
