MARYLAND ENDOCRINE, P.A. is a large private adult endocrine, diabetes and metabolim practice located in Columbia, Maryland; which is conveniently located between Baltimore, MD and Washington, D.C. Maryland Endocrine offers expert outpatient consultative services to a wide referral base across central Marlyand, with an emphasis on providing high quality, state of the art community care and early application of advanced diabetes technology in a collegial environment. It features 6 providers and has no inpatient responsibilities. Our practice provides Ultrasound guided FNA's, Eversense implanted CGM implantation and removal, as well as professional CGM studies.
Role Description
This is a Full time on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at MARYLAND ENDOCRINE, P.A., but we would consider part-time of at least 75%. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for managing the care of patients with endocrine disorders including performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and treatments, and educating patients about their treatment plans. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will collaborate with the physicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Maryland
- Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
- Experience in endocrine care
- Excellent clinical knowledge and judgement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
- Board certification in endocrinology is a plus, but not required
