Physician Assistant

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Pennsylvania. This 120-day assignment begins on 06/16/2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, primarily conducting home visits to geriatric patients aged 65+ with chronic care issues. The role involves providing primary care services, including medication management, ear wax removal, and skin tag removal, in both private residences (85%) and assisted living or elderly group homes (15%). The PA will also be responsible for fielding S-BAR calls throughout the day from the urgent care line, with a 24-hour turnaround for non-emergency cases and immediate response for emergencies. Experience with Aprima EMR is preferred.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct home visits to geriatric patients aged 65+ with chronic care issues

Provide primary care services in private residences and assisted living facilities

Perform medication management, ear wax removal, and skin tag removal

Address all primary care concerns, requiring a strong primary care baseline

Field S-BAR calls from the urgent care line throughout the day

Respond to non-emergency cases within 24 hours and emergency cases ASAP

Utilize Aprima EMR for patient management and record-keeping

Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Adhere to all safety protocols and industry best practices

Additional Information:

Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania

Experience in geriatric care and home visits required

Familiarity with Aprima EMR preferred
