Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Oregon. This 48-day assignment begins on 05/19/2025, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts Tuesday through Friday, from 9 am to 7 pm. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a variety of urgent care cases, including colds, sore throats, basic sick visits, broken bones, minor injuries, cuts/scrapes, and ear infections. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to work in diverse clinical settings using the Meditech EHR system, with potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Diagnose and treat a wide range of urgent care conditions

Manage patients with colds, sore throats, and basic sick visits

Assess and treat broken bones and minor injuries

Perform suturing for cuts and scrapes

Treat minor burns and ear infections

Conduct patient examinations and assessments

Prescribe medications as needed

Educate patients on health maintenance and follow-up care

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Meditech EHR

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines

Manage patient flow efficiently in an urgent care setting

Adapt to working in multiple clinic locations

Additional Information:

Oregon Physician Assistant license required

Experience in urgent care or emergency settings essential

Strong skills in minor procedures and suturing

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
