Physician Assistant

Barton Associates is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a 53-day locum tenens position providing telehealth services to a correctional facility in Louisiana. Starting on 05/02/2025, this part-time assignment requires coverage for 3 hours once a week, preferably Wednesday through Friday. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide telehealth consultations to inmates in a correctional facility setting
Conduct basic sick calls and assess patient health concerns remotely
Issue standing orders for patient care and treatment
Prescribe and refill medications as necessary
Make appropriate referrals to specialists or for further medical care
Collaborate with on-site healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Adhere to all correctional facility protocols and security measures
Ensure compliance with telemedicine regulations and best practices

Additional Information:

Louisiana physician assistant license required
