Duties Include:

PA-C duties:

Patient visits :

  • Maintains a daily calendar of appointments for patient diagnosis, treatment, referral, prescriptions, health maintenance, and education.
  • Assess and treat patients on a walk-in basis at the health clinic, depending on their urgency and need.
  • Diagnosing, treating, and helping patients manage acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conducting physical examinations and interpreting medical history
  • Ordering and performing diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Prescribing age-specific physical therapy and rehabilitation
  • Prescribing pharmacologic treatments
  • Providing prenatal care, family planning services, and screening services
  • Primary and specialty care services for adults and children
  • Performing minor surgeries and procedures
  • Counseling and educating patients about preventive measures to avoid illness.
  • Reviews prescription re-fill requests on a timely basis (e.g., Within the same day).
  • Provides after-hours triage phone service for the health clinic on a monthly scheduled basis.

Chart Reviews :

  • Regularly assesses and monitors patients' progress and reviews file documentation with the Preceptor and consulting physicians.

Meetings :

  • Attends and participates in staff and provider meetings and other meetings as directed by the Health Officer, Medical Director, or Center Manager.

Personal Contacts :

  • Maintains regular positive contacts with patients, staff, community members, and others to preserve good public relations.

Remote work:

  • This position is eligible for situational remote work as needed. The schedule must be discussed with and approved by the supervisor and director and may be subject to change depending on role and department need.

Education and Certifications:

  • Current PA-C License in Washington State
  • NPI number
  • DEA License
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification, or obtain within 3 months of hire
  • WA State Drivers License
Experience:
  • 2 years experience making independent clinical decisions in family practice.
  • The ability to learn PC networks and data entry programs such as NextGen Electronic Medical Record, Child Profile Immunization Registry, and Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Ability to interact with others professionally and compassionately, maintain confidentiality, and work well as a team member.
  • Talent for cultivating a positive and energetic team atmosphere
  • Desire to be in a patient-centered healthcare setting
  • Excellent bedside manner with solid customer-oriented presentation skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing environments
  • Additional experience in cross-cultural health care preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, stand.
  • Normal audio and visual acuity
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
  • Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require applicable training.
Travel Requirements:
  • Local, Statewide, and out-of-state travel may be required.

Compensation Information:
$87068.02 / Annually - $97951.52 / Annually
