Experienced Wound Care Physician Assistant needed for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This 78-day opportunity, starting 06/02/2025, involves providing home health care services with a focus on wound care. Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide specialized wound care services in patients' homes
• Assess, diagnose, and treat various types of wounds
• Develop and implement comprehensive wound treatment plans
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other necessary procedures
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques
• Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment as needed
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists as required
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Intellicare system
• Conduct follow-up appointments to ensure optimal wound healing
• Stay current with the latest wound care techniques and technologies
• Adhere to all home health care policies and procedures
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in Illinois
• Wound Care Certification required
• Experience in home health care setting preferred
• Proficiency with Intellicare system a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
