Physician Assistant

Experienced Wound Care Physician Assistant needed for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This 78-day opportunity, starting 06/02/2025, involves providing home health care services with a focus on wound care. The flexible schedule requires 2-3 days per week availability, typically 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential for expansion. The role includes treating various types of wounds, developing treatment plans, and conducting follow-up appointments in patients' homes. Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide specialized wound care services in patients' homes

Assess, diagnose, and treat various types of wounds

Develop and implement comprehensive wound treatment plans

Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other necessary procedures

Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques

Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment as needed

Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists as required

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Intellicare system

Conduct follow-up appointments to ensure optimal wound healing

Stay current with the latest wound care techniques and technologies

Adhere to all home health care policies and procedures

Additional Information:

Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in Illinois

Wound Care Certification required

Experience in home health care setting preferred

Proficiency with Intellicare system a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
