Physician Assistant - Pulmonary/Critical Care

Full-Time 5 Days/Week Outpatient

A leading academic medical system in Pennsylvania is seeking a Full time Physician Assistant to join its Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine team. This outpatient opportunity is available across several locations, including the main campus and satellite offices in the greater Philadelphia region.

About the Role

As a Physician Assistant in this innovative department, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists in pulmonary medicine, critical care, thoracic surgery, transplant surgery, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonology. This role supports the outpatient management of complex pulmonary conditions in a fast-paced, academic environment committed to excellence in care and research.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive outpatient assessments and follow-up visits
  • Manage and monitor treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes and care plans
  • Coordinate care across specialties and services
  • Participate in quality initiatives and support clinical research as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Certification by the NCCPA
  • Prescriptive authority (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • At least 1 year of outpatient, specialty, or pulmonary experience preferred
  • Experience working in an EPIC electronic health record system is a plus

Education Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required, depending on program pathway
