We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in General Surgery for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a multi-specialty clinic in California, starting 08/04/2025. This unique opportunity requires coverage for 10-hour shifts, two days a week, with flexible scheduling options. The ideal candidate will exclusively work with the new DaVinci Robot, first assisting in a wide variety of surgical cases including hepatobiliary, colorectal, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and gynecologic oncology. Responsibilities and Duties:

First assist in robotic surgeries using the DaVinci Robot system

Participate in a variety of surgical cases, including hepatobiliary, colorectal, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and gynecologic oncology

Prepare patients for surgery and ensure proper positioning

Assist in operating room setup and equipment preparation

Maintain a sterile field and adhere to all safety protocols

Collaborate closely with surgeons and operating room staff

Utilize Epic EHR for documentation and patient care management

Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards

Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals

Stay updated on the latest robotic surgery techniques and best practices

Additional Information:

Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in California

Experience in general surgery and robotic-assisted procedures required

Certification in robotic surgery, particularly with the DaVinci system, is essential

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
