St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking to recruit an experienced full time Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac surgery program at St. Peters Hospital located in Albany, NY. Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistants first assist and cover floor consults. This role is full-time with weeknight and weekend call rotation.
POSITION DETAILS:
- First assist with all open-heart cases, no vascular, no thoracic, adult only.
- Rotating shifts, 24/7 service coverage with night shifts and weekends.
- Responsibilities include daily rounds with CTS Team, caring for post-operative patients in the ICU and on the floor, admitting transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department, and consultations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should have the following:
- NYS licensure
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS
- At least 1-3 years of Cardiac surgical first assisting experience
- Graduation from an accredited PA program, Board Certification
