Work closely with physicians to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients. Assess and provide treatment plans for orthopedic patients. Must be able to document encounters with patients in a clear, precise, and accurate manner. Follow guidelines for orthopedic treatment as directed by the physician. Communicate information between the physician and the patient, ensuring questions are answered. Obtain pre-certifications from insurance for all tests and procedures to be performed. Complete disability forms, orders, ABN's. Perform or assist in any duties required for efficiency, quality, and to meet the patient's and physician's schedule. Comply with federal HIPAA regulations and practice policies for the privacy and security of patient information.
