Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 35-day locum tenens assignment at a clinic in Virginia. Starting on 06/23/2025, this position involves providing comprehensive primary care services, including chronic and acute care management, laboratory tests, nebulizer treatments, vaccinations, sports physicals, and patient education. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. The PA will be responsible for efficiently managing scheduled appointments and walk-ins, adapting to unexpected situations, and providing thorough reports on patient care. Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide comprehensive primary care for chronic and acute conditions

Perform and interpret laboratory tests

Administer nebulizer treatments as needed

Conduct flu and pneumonia vaccinations

Perform sports physicals

Deliver patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention

Review EMR daily for an overview of scheduled cases

Manage walk-in patients and unexpected situations efficiently

Complete all procedures and treatments in a timely manner

Provide detailed reports on patient care and treatment outcomes

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using paper charts

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

Ensure compliance with all clinic policies and practice standards

Additional Information:

Must be a licensed Physician Assistant with active Virginia license

Experience in family practice and primary care required

Comfort with a diverse range of primary care procedures and treatments

Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
