POSITION SUMMARY: Assesses and treats neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems to restore function impaired by injury or disease, focusing on pain management and mobility. Develops, implements, and monitors care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure & BLS certification required. SKILLS: Strong assessment, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills. EXPERIENCE: None required. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: Reports to Director/Manager Rehabilitation Services.
ENVIRONMENT: Clean, well-ventilated, smoke-free; potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous chemicals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good physical condition; ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
