Physical Therapist

The Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant administers occupational therapy modalities to patients in their residence to develop and restore function. Responsibilities include following a care plan, providing personalized care, motivating patients, teaching compensatory strategies, completing documentation, instructing patients in home programs, and collaborating with other health professionals. Requirements include completion of an approved program, one year of experience, an associate's degree, current licenses and certifications, CPR certification, reliable transportation, and knowledge of occupational therapy and medical terminology. Skills needed include communication, flexibility, professionalism, self-direction, teamwork, organization, time management, and patient care. The working environment includes various settings such as offices, homes, and cars, with exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
