Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following state regulations. The PTA will assist in executing prescribed treatment plans, ensuring high-quality rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to state laws and practice guidelines for Physical Therapist Assistants.
- Follow company policies and procedures, reviewing them annually for compliance.
- Complete required Medicare compliance and OSHA training annually.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Assist in carrying out prescribed therapy programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Accurately document patient progress using accepted medical terminology.
- Communicate effectively with therapists, patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in facility meetings, including utilization review, infection control, and preparedness programs.
- Stay updated on continuing education to meet state licensure requirements.
- Maintain current CPR certification as per state regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage time to meet facility productivity goals.
- Assist in staff training and clinical in-services as needed.
- Keep up with industry developments and trends in physical therapy.
- Take on additional operational responsibilities as assigned by management.

- Proficiency in reading, writing, and analyzing patient charts and reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with patient transfers.
- Frequent walking, bending, standing, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Sufficient vision and hearing to accurately document and communicate patient needs.
- Capability to push wheeled equipment and perform fine motor tasks related to therapy.
- Stamina to engage in extended physical activity in compliance with labor laws.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or an equivalent international program.
- Valid state license, certification, or registration as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
