PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
QUALIFICATIONS:
An associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program, with coursework focused on physical therapy techniques and child development.
Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant, in accordance with state regulations governing school-based practice.
Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and physical therapists.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions for students with physical disabilities or movement challenges.
- Conduct routine assessments of students' physical abilities and progress, documenting results and providing feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide direct support to students during therapy sessions, facilitating exercises and activities aimed at improving mobility, strength, and coordination.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate physical therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines, promoting functional independence for students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with state regulations and school policies regarding confidentiality and documentation.
