Complete Pediatric Therapy PLLC is currently seeking a PTA to treat a small caseload of pediatric patients in their homes, with an opportunity to increase to a full caseload. Patients are available in Southwest and West Houston. PTA will work under supervision of only one PT. Completed Pediatric Therapy PLLC
is owned by an independent physical therapist and has served children in Houston for 16 years.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant
- Current Texas PTA License
- Pediatrics and home health experience (preferred, not required)
- Current CPR
- Ability to lift and transfer children
- Ability to participate in handling and floor activities with children
- Basic computer experience required with ability to use internet-based EMR system (Fusion Web Clinic)
- Valid TX driver's license and automobile insurance
- Professional liability insurance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement creative treatment plans and activities to meet individual patient goals under the supervision of the PT.
- Adapt environment, materials and activities as needed, under the supervision of the PT.
- Provide family members/caregivers with the knowledge and tools necessary to carry over therapeutic activities. A written home program must be provided to each family and monitoring/adjustments of the HEP must be documented in the daily treatment note.
- Monitor each patient's response to interventions & communicate feedback to the supervising PT for the purpose of reevaluation and/or modification of treatment plans as needed.
- Schedule own workload with maximum efficiency, minimizing drive time between patients.
- Complete the prescribed visit frequency for each patient and make up all missed visits within the current authorization period.
- Demonstrate excellent documentation skills and use only valid medical terminology.
- Complete and sign treatment notes on the Internet based EMR system (Fusion Web Clinic) no later than 12pm every Monday for treatment sessions performed the prior week.
