Job Summary: Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist to promote and maintain health.
Utilizes an outward mindset to achieve personal and team goals. Records therapy procedures and results as per hospital policy. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team. Functions independently in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Administers physical therapy treatments and exercises under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Observes and documents patient responses to treatments. Minimum Qualifications: Associate s Degree, current Michigan license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and BLS certification.
Preferred: One year of hospital experience.
Working Conditions: Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, reach, see, and communicate constantly; frequent sitting, walking, and lifting; occasional lifting of heavier weights.
