Job Description

St. Mary's Health System is seeking a motivated and patient-centered Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Auburn, Maine. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule (20 to 32 hours per week, based on your preference) in a supportive, team-based environment focused on helping patients achieve their mobility and recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans
Provide one-on-one care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
Assist in patient assessments and documentation of progress
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to improve outcomes
Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment in compliance with all regulatory standards

Qualifications
Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Maine licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
CPR certification
Prior outpatient or orthopedic experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
