This position involves assessing and treating neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems to restore function, manage pain, and promote mobility based on physician prescriptions. The therapist develops, implements, and monitors individualized care plans, administers physical therapy modalities, and collaborates with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
Minimum qualifications include a degree in Physical Therapy and current licensure with BLS certification. Experience is not required. Key skills include assessment, decision-making, interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities. The role requires good physical condition, with ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer patients and equipment up to 50 lbs. The therapist works in a clean, ventilated environment, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous chemicals, under supervision of a Rehabilitation Services Manager.
