Seeking Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program Director for Inpatient Rehab Facility in Knoxville, TN.
Inpatient Rehab Facility
Incoming PM&R Physician will be dedicated to this location
Schedule: 5 days/week M-F
Opportunity to customize your own schedule to create ideal work/life balance
Physician will consult patients each day, IM will complete medical rounding - Once PM&R is finished rounding, they are free to leave
Average 25 patients per day - 51 total private inpatient rooms
List of some services provided
Treatment for spasticity or pain that limits function
Prescribe adaptive devices for safety
Reduce opioid use through the use of alternative medication and modalities
Educate staff on all aspects of the rehabilitation process
Work closely with an IDT team on the most technology-based therapies to help patients regain their independence
Program Director (a split position with the Medical Director)
Work closely with the rehab/therapy team
All patients under the care of the Director with the Internal Medicine physician following as well
Must be available for emergencies - 24/7
Participates in meetings and quality initiatives

Physician-led inpatient rehabilitative services
24/7 rehabilitative nursing care
51 private patient rooms
Treatments for strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and other medically complex conditions
Specialized services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy; rehabilitative nursing; case management; respiratory therapy; dietary services; wound care; and more
A rehabilitation gym with specialized equipment and one-on-one therapy
Outside therapeutic courtyard, providing various walking terrains
Easy access to free parking
Advanced staff training and certifications
Pre-approved insurance and Medicare coverage
Joint commission accreditation
Compensation
Fee for service model with a base compensation
Flex Bank Compensation = PTO
Each physician accumulates 5 days/quarter
Can cash it out or it cashes out automatically at the end of each year if unused
Bonus opportunity
If the physician sees more than 25 patients or bills high acuity codes, they can bonus on a bi-weekly basis; estimated annual additional compensation is $50K.
Sign on bonus and relocation are negotiable (estimated amount $20,000)

MD or DO
Board eligible or certified PM&R
Pain Management fellowship training is ok, but not required
