We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack PHP Developer with 5+ years of experience in OpenEMR (highly preferred) or a similar open-source Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. This is a part-time, remote contractor role for a self-motivated and proactive individual passionate about improving healthcare technology. MUST HAVE HEALTHCARE WORK EXPERIENCE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and customize the look & feel of OpenEMR screens.
- Develop new features within OpenEMR.
- Integrate OpenEMR with open-source or third-party solutions such as eRx, eLabs, EHR, and other EMRs and integrate OpenEMR with the best open source system or develop from scratch or integrate with another vendor's system.
- Build or integrate a patient portal with OpenEMR.
- Evaluate and recommend third-party options for eRx and eLabs integration.
- Ensure seamless interoperability and compliance with EMR standards and clinic requirements and usage by the clinics
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical initiatives when required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong healthcare domain knowledge with hands-on experience in OpenEMR.
- PHP Web Development expertise.
- Proficiency in MySQL for database management.
- Good knowledge in full stack development and handled projects in different stacks.
- Experience managing and integrating EHR systems.
- Prior experience leading cross-functional projects and working in diverse technical stacks.
- In-depth technical and functional knowledge in Healthcare Domain from EMR application development to interoperability services.
