This position performs all duties of a Pharmacy Technician Senior, in addition to coordinating daily workflow, daily assignments and providing overall support to the operation of the department. The Lead provides all quality assessment and audit activities for the Pharmacy area. This position functions to assist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients, as well as providing necessary services and information to nursing and medical staff. These services include leading the preparation and packaging of medications, distribution of medications, supplies and equipment, maintaining proper inventory levels, keeping appropriate records and documentation, and submitting patient charges/credits. This position is also responsible for supporting initiatives of area supervisors and managers and at times assists in the implementation of such. Provides assistance in assessing Pharmacy Technicians' performance for annual appraisals, as well as orienting new staff to the Pharmacy area. The Lead may cover additional Manager responsibilities, as necessary, in the Manager's absence, or should a vacancy occur.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent. Certified Pharmacy Technician. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
