Job Title: Band 6 Pharmacy Technician

About the Role:
Tripod Partners are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Pharmacy Technician with extensive hospital experience This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with the potential for contract extension based on performance and service needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients.
- Review patient medications and provide advice to healthcare professionals.
- Support the safe and effective use of medicines within the hospital.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring availability of medications.
- Provide clinical support in the dispensing of medicines for discharge.
- Perform regular medication audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and policies.
- Provide patient counselling on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
- Assist with the review and preparation of medication for ward stock.
- Support ward-based clinical pharmacy services, ensuring medications are correctly administered.
- Contribute to medication-related patient safety initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation of medicines-related interventions and patient care.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience within an NHS hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
