Job Summary
We are looking for an individual to join our client's team as Pharmacy Technician. Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians will assist pharmacists in the preparation, and distribution of medications and maintaining drug inventory. Adheres to Federal, State, and local laws and other regulatory requirements regarding pharmacy and institutional practice. Performs related work rotating between satellites, tours, and shifts.
Job Description
- Under pharmacist supervision, will rotate assignments, and tours to meet departmental needs.
- Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within a specified period
- Receive, return and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various hospital areas
- Operate equipment properly.
- Troubleshoots automated dispensing systems as needed
Skills Required
- One year experience required
- Pharmacy dispensing experience, Sterile Processing experience IV room experience - Preferred
- Retail Pharmacy experience
- Spanish speaking preferred.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Completed High School (Diploma or GED)
- Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
- Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the NYSED
Additional Requirements
- Schedule notes: A schedule will be discussed during an interview. (5) 8-hour shifts per week
Pay Rate
- Up to $32.00 per hour based on experience/qualifications
