Schedule: 40 Hours, Days, 8am-5pm, Full Time, Benefit Eligible, Non-Union. On Call required when necessary. Position Summary: Responsible for the Pharmacy department's operational excellence: assures department delivers quality services in accordance with the Medical Center's mission and with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards. Manages human resources to assure quality services and promote positive employee relations. Effectively communicates departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff. Responsible for the fiscal management of department and assures proper utilization of organization's financial resources. Supports and exemplifies the hospital's established mission, vision, and values. Incumbent is responsible for coordinating all activities and services provided by the pharmacy department. These activities and services involve the procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, compounding, monitoring, control and dispensing of medications and supplies from the department. The individual serves as a liaison to facility nursing and the medical staff personnel. The Director serves as the Manager of Record for the assigned facility based on the requirements defined by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy. Provides a leadership role in formulating policy and instituting models that enhance both the purchasing and distribution (logistics) components of pharmacy services for Good Samaritan Medical Center. Requirements: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hospital pharmacy management experience or supervisor of a pharmacy operation. Must be directly related to pharmacy operations, service development, and implementation. In-depth background of pharmacy operations, system design, and analysis. Certification/Licensure: Active MA Pharmacist License Software/Hardware: Meditech experience preferred, proficiency with Microsoft Office Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabled/Veterans
