The hours are 9:30am to 6pm, but we can offer flexibility with these hours if requested.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Pharmacist for a retail setting to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers a Monday to Friday work schedule with no weekends, providing the perfect work-life balance. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, and a drive to constantly improve and grow in their role. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned pharmacist to utilize their skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately dispensing prescription medications to patients, ensuring all prescriptions are filled promptly and correctly.
2. Conducting Drug Utilization Reviews (DURs) to identify, prevent and resolve potential medication-related problems.
3. Providing medication therapy management and patient counseling, promoting health awareness and contributing to a better quality of life.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate patient effectiveness.
5. Assuring the appropriateness of medication therapy, detecting and managing medication-related problems and adverse drug effects.
6. Maintaining and managing the inventory of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
7. Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and standards related to pharmacy practice.
8. Educating customers on over-the-counter medications, providing information on potential side effects or interactions with other medicines.

Qualifications:

1. A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
2. Must hold a current and valid Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
3. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting.
4. Experience in carrying out Drug Utilization Reviews.
5. Proficient knowledge of pharmacy operations, procedures, protocols, and regulations.
6. Exceptional patient care skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex medical information in understandable terms.
8. Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to work independently, make judgements, and decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
10. Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems and technology.
