The position is for a spray technician, applying chemical for insect, disease, and vegetation control with both truck mounted and backpack sprayers.
Additional duties include structural pest control applications both exterior and occasionally interior to residential and commercial properties.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Eighteen (18) years of age
- Valid Oregon driver's license to drive company vehicle to various job sites
- 1 year structural pest control experience, both insect and rodent control.
Preferred (not required):
- Pesticide Apprenticeship license
- Commercial pesticide applicator license issued by Department of Agriculture
Employer Notes:
- Pesticide Apprentice License is required within 60 days of hire date. Study material for test is provided.
- The ideal applicant will have a positive attitude, takes pride in professional appearance and has dependable attendance
- No smoking at worksites and in employers' vehicles
- DMV records check.
Job Duties:
- Apply, mix, and load pesticides to landscapes as defined by the program details for residential and commercial properties; for insect, disease and vegetation control with both truck mounted and backpack sprayers
- Complete written records for work orders
- Clean equipment daily
- Refill supplies
- Light maintenance on equipment
- Regularly lift/carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
- Complete documentation and communication in English.
Hours:
- Full-time / day shift; thirty-five (35) or more hours per week depending on the employers need
- Generally, schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional work on Saturday; employer will give advance notice
Pay / Benefits:
- $18 to $21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
