Summary Join our team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, the Personnel Security Specialist III provides support for all security activities to the Chenega SSBU Security Department. This position requires a current Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret . Responsibilities What You'll Get To Do: Assist Industrial Security Manager and Facility Security Officer with reviewing of security investigative paperwork for accuracy. Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and contract security policies and procedures. Coordinates security concerns with DCSA Field Office, NAESOC, and other agency representatives to maintain compliance. Assist with Facility Clearance monitoring and internal inspections. Maintains and coordinates excellent working relationships with agencies, prime and subcontractors, customers, and daily interaction with Corporate leadership, Company Presidents, Directors, Program Managers, and support staff. Assist with preparation of subcontract DD254s, DoD Contract Security Classification Specification. Assist with presenting executive level briefings and trainings. Assist with security education and awareness training of cleared employees to include initial, annual refresher, special security briefings and debriefings, tracking of certificates of completion. Process new and existing employees for security clearances. Schedule fingerprint appointments; take fingerprints using inhouse live scan equipment. Perform visitor control duties to include database entry; creation; control and issuance of all company badges. Assist with physical security inspections (perimeter controls) within facility; conduct end of day checks; main contact on after hours call list with alarm company. Assist with administering Insider Threat Awareness Program and working groups. Able to work in a fast-paced environment; handle stressful situations and delegate tasks. Provide coordinated communications with the customer and other on-site contractors about security operations. Prepare reports and submit them to the Government. Provide additional industry-wide support for security program as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications You'll Bring These Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. Valid state driver's license. Speak, understand, read, and write the English language fluently. Secret security clearance granted by the Defense Security Service pursuant to the requirements of the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) prior to starting work. Experience with e-QIP, NBIS, SWFT, JPAS/DISS, ACCS and SPOT. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 5 or more years of experience in a Personnel Security role with Industrial Security experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. FSO Certification (preferred). Ability to obtain certification. Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. Thorough working knowledge of current security policy and procedures Detailed knowledge of personnel security administration requirements, OPM clearance procedures and adjudicative guidelines. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Knowledge of current issues, trends, laws, regulations, and technologies(i.e. SEAD 3 and 4) Knowledge of case management database(i.e. Access Commander or SIMS) Skill in satisfactorily dealing with customers and executives. Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Ability to use a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and Outlook.
