We are looking for personal trainers who are wanting to bring their specialty to our community for one-on-one training, small group training, and recreation programming.
Up to 29 hours per week; evening and weekend availability required.
Hours not guaranteed.
Essential Position Functions Essential Position Functions: - Administer fitness assessment for new and interested clients
- Evaluate and determine appropriate goals and exercises
- Offer guidance, motivation, and expertise
- Track and monitor progress, making appropriate changes as needed
- Adhere to all guidelines for safety as outlined by the facility and certifying body
- Schedule and track all training appointments. Reschedule/cancel with clients when necessary
- Direct clients to guest services to collect payments, no money should be exchanged between the client and trainer
- Develop and implement specialty and small group classes as needed
- Participate in Community Center promotions and wellness incentives
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification i.e.: ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE or equivalent
- One year experience personal training in a fitness center, health club, community center, or equivalent
- Experience working with and around people of all ages and fitness levels
- Passion for health/fitness industry
- Be able to react quickly and efficiently in a health emergency situation
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification required
- Able to perform all essential Position Functions under working condition requirements as described
Things that may help you be successful in this role Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - College degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or equivalent

Physical Demands: - While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk loudly, and hear
- The employee is often required to move or shift up to 50 lbs
- The employee is required to climb, balance, reach, run, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- The employee must be able to react quickly and spontaneously
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment may be moderately loud when music is present.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: Hours vary and are based on scheduled appointments with clients
