Responsibilities Include:
- Answering all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner to identify and respond to questions and problems presented by insured clients.
- Provides accurate information to insured clients according to company policies, researching information as needed in order to provide verification of coverage, payments, etc.
- Reports customer feedback issues to supervisor (service errors/problems) and assists with the development of long-term preventative solutions.
- Record claims and accept premium payments and remit to the applicable carrier.
- Maintain reports on computerized systems to ensure their accuracy.
Qualifications:
- A HS diploma or GED is accepted, an Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Must be in possession of a NYS Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license
- 2 + years of experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Must be comfortable fielding a high volume of incoming calls.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
Hours & Benefits:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
