Job Overview:
One of my clients, a highly respected law firm based in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive legal team that handles a variety of personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing all aspects of personal injury cases from inception through settlement or trial.
- Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery responses. Ensure timely filing of documents with the court.
- Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients. Manage and maintain client relationships and provide regular updates.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Medical Records & Evidence: Organize medical records, bills, and other evidence related to personal injury cases. Prepare exhibits for trial.
- Discovery and Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing for depositions, trial, and settlement conferences. Manage discovery requests and responses.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
- Proficiency in California state laws and personal injury litigation procedures.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury legal terminology, filings, and deadlines.
- Experience with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
