MAIN PURPOSE

The Logistics Project Manager will oversee and drive strategic and operational logistics initiatives to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and overall performance of Hermès Middle East's supply chain. The role involves optimizing processes, managing local projects, and contributing to global supply chain transformation while upholding the brand's commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute logistics projects to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes and introduce innovative solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with Hermès' global standards and adapt processes to the regional market's needs.

Projects and Sustainability:

  • Lead local logistics projects, including regular 3PL bidding and the implementation of new services.
  • Analyze and optimize existing processes to enhance efficiency and align with operational excellence standards.
  • Contribute to global supply chain projects such as SAP and WMS core model transformations.
  • Monitor and adopt the latest logistics technologies and trends to innovate and improve regional operations.
  • Track and monitor the environmental footprint of logistics operations, including LDC and transportation activities.
  • Implement and optimize green logistics processes to reduce emissions and improve sustainability metrics.
  • Research and support recycling initiatives to promote circularity within the supply chain.

Measures of Success:

  • Timely and successful delivery of logistics projects with measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, or service levels.
  • Reduction in the environmental footprint through effective implementation of green logistics practices.
  • Enhanced process efficiency and alignment with global standards, measured by key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Effective adoption of innovative logistics technologies and trends, driving long-term operational improvements.

PROFILE:

  • Strong experience in Supply Chain and Logistics (5 to 7 years minimum)
  • Experience in a Consulting firm specialized in operations is a plus
  • Experience in the Middle East and knowledge of the regional logistics landscape is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (ability to embark)
  • Rigorous, structured, organized and reliable
  • Proactive
  • Team-player, ability to coordinate with various stakeholders
