Job Description: As a Performance Tester, you will ensure the optimal performance, stability, and scalability of mobile applications across various platforms. You will develop and maintain automated test solutions using Appium and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and evaluate performance, scalability, and reliability of mobile applications on iOS and Android.
- Analyze test results, generate performance reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure applications meet performance and scalability goals before production release.
- Work with development teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Create and maintain automation frameworks for functional testing, ensuring end-to-end coverage.
- Develop and maintain functional test automation scripts using Appium with Java.
- Guide and mentor junior team members in the Mobile QA Automation team.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and recommend optimizations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks.
- Stay updated on the latest performance testing tools and methodologies.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: - 6+ years in mobile app performance and functional testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Hands-on coding experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience with industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
- Familiarity with mobile app architectures, cloud environments, and network conditions.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools for test automation.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for performance optimization.
- Knowledge of best practices for performance tuning and scalability.
- Financial/trading services industry experience is a plus.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
