Day-to-Day: A large local utility client is seeking a business/ performance test analyst to join their organization. You will be responsible for working closely with the business to define current processes, identify potential automations, and capture all requirements in a standard template. You will also support QA/Testing by creating test plans from the requirements and capturing test results in our standard test tool (Qtest). Your role will involve:
- Migrating two legacy Enterprise Accounting databases built on Microsoft Access shared files into a single in-house solution supported by the internal IT team, conceptually a SQL database with PowerBI reporting.
- Delivering a reporting solution that allows the finance team users to add data, query data, and export custom reports required by various industry and government agencies.
- Streamlining processes to reduce manual tasks where resources and time allow.
- Consolidating WebTrader functions into the existing energy trading software suite, including deal entry, generation management, load management, position management, metering, transmission management, integration with OASIS, accounting for settlements, and various reporting.
- Removing operational constraints, improving financial performance, reducing risk of errors, streamlining processes, and reducing IT maintenance.
Must-Haves:
- Strong BA skills to work with the business on defining current processes (data inputs, calculations, outputs) and creating process diagrams
- Ability to identify automations for manual steps
- Experience in capturing all requirements in a standard template (e.g., Excel table)
- Capability to pivot to QA/Testing support to create test plans from the requirements and capture test results in Qtest
