Fleet Performance Engineer Part Time Hours
Mechanical or electrical engineer with a passion for interrogating technical information is required to identify opportunities for improving the performance of a fleet of Trams.
This is a part time position, 24 hours per week, and will suit engineers who are looking to return to work after a break or perhaps someone who is looking to reduce their hours but still maintain a interesting position with responsibility.
Situation
Our customer, CAF Rolling Stock provides Trams into Edinburgh Trams. The performance engineer is responsible for analysing technical data about the fleet, evaluating potential implications and working with the wider engineering or materials teams to create solutions that ultimately improve or maintain the performance of the Trams.
Part Time Hours
We need someone who can commit to doing 24 hours per week. The ideal solution is working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday but we will consider any options presented by candidates such as reduced hours Mon-Friday.

Salary
£36,(Apply online only) paid to candidate after working hours has been factored in. You earn £36k plus all CAF benefits including holidays, pension,
Candidate Requirements
- HND minimum qualification
- Hands on engineering experience
- Worked in Rail / Aero / Bus / Military (or similar)
- Technical and data orientated individual who can demonstrably make sense of data.
- Held previous communication with customers
Location
The position will be based from the Edinburgh depot
