The Senior Sonographer performs routine and complex ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing requisitions and patient charts to determine procedure appropriateness. Selecting equipment and technical factors for imaging. Assessing patients' physical and emotional status and adjusting plans accordingly. Following quality control processes and practicing effective communication. Identifying equipment malfunctions and assisting with patient scheduling. Providing training for trainees and fellows. Participating in meetings and maintaining documentation. Qualifications include ARDMS registration, BLS certification, an Associate's degree in Medical Sonography, and 3 years of experience. This is a part-time, per diem position located in Peabody.
