Our dynamic team at St. Louis Children's Hospital is looking for a PRN specialist to join their team. The PRN clinical pharmacist specialist will provide pharmaceutical services to patients throughout St Louis Children's Hospital. In this role you will:
•  Cultivate relationships with medical and nursing staff to provide timely drug information and promote adherence to regulatory standards.
•  Individualize medication regimens using sound principles, accounting for pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations in drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination with responsibility for establishing and continually improving the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within areas of direct responsibility and assisting others in the pharmacy department with the same.
•  Participate in the training of pharmacy students, staff and pharmacy residents. PGY1 Residency required, PGY2 Residency preferred.
•  PRN (flexible/as needed)

Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Evaluates and recommends appropriate drug therapy to achieve optimal cost-effective patient outcomes, by working directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients. Participates in the development, provision and evaluation of comprehensive pharmaceutical care and quality assurance programs through scholarly activities. Serves as a resource to the pharmacy staff and other hospital departments. Responsibilities
•  Assess the overall status of the patient's health condition and evaluates medication profile for optimal patient outcomes. Monitors therapy and goals of care. Documents all activities and communication as appropriate.
•  Participates in professional development and research activities.
•  Contributes to performance improvement, clinical effectiveness, drug use evaluation, and HSO/BJC committee activities.
•  Participates in the education and training of pharmacy staff, residents and students, and serves as a role model and mentor.
•  Participates in the identification and implementation of targeted drug cost reduction programs. Minimum Requirements Education
