30% FTE, 8-hour day shift 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays. You will primarily work at UW Health Carbone Cancer Center in Johnson Creek, WI with occasional coverage as needed at Portage, WI and Beaver Dam, WI.
Come work with a team of expert nursing staff and physicians at UW Cancer Center Johnson Creek, a regional clinic of UW Health Carbone Cancer Center, providing convenient and comprehensive access to leading-edge research and treatments to oncology patients in southeastern Wisconsin.
We are seeking a chemo certified and experienced oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to:
- Join a team of REMARKABLE nurses and providers that use compassion and teamwork to care for their inspiring patients in the regional services Oncology Clinic.
- Connect and form therapeutic relationships with patients in a supportive environment.
- Care for patients receiving medical and radiation oncology services, chemotherapy treatments and clinical trials in an ambulatory setting.
- Use targeted assessment skills to assess patients during visits and via telephone triage and MyChart.
Qualifications
- Graduate of school of nursing Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
- 6 months of RN experience Required
- Relevant Inpatient RN experience Preferred
- Ambulatory experience Preferred
- Relevant oncology experience Preferred
- Chemotherapy experience Preferred
- Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Current CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
- Certification in specialty area of practice Preferred
